1. God is! The eternally existant God is creator, sustainer and owner of all that exists. He is known to mankind in three personages; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; which together are one, the only true God.
2. The Bible is God's written communication to man; inspired, inerrant, authoritative, and superceeds all ideas and thoughts of man in matters of religion and behavior.
3. Man is the creation of God and is subject to God. Given the ability to reason and make choices, mankind through Adam chose to disobey God and descendants have since inherited a natural aversion to God and of being subject to him. The consequence is that natural man is spiritually dead, separated from God and in need of regeneration through faith in Jesus Christ. (Born again. See John chapter 3.)
4. God the Father is the ultimate ruler of the universe.
5. God the Son is the "Lamb which taketh away the sin of the world." Fully God, Jesus permitted himself to be incarnated as a human, born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit, lived among men sinlessly, freely gave himself as the only sacrifice capable of satisfying the requirement of justice that "Without the shedding of blood is no remission [of sin]". (See Hebrews chapter 9.) Having offered himself as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, Christ was buried in the tomb, was bodily resurrected and ascended to the Father in Heaven where today he makes intercession for believers. He will one day return to gather his own to live with him forever and will later fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament by returning to Earth and occupying the throne of David for a thousand years as "King of Kings and Lord of Lords".
6. The Holy Spirit is the personage of God who is active in the work of redeeming current day individuals by drawing their attention to Christ, by applying the Word of God to their hearts to bring about repentance and by effecting the new birth when belief in Christ occurs. He also indwells believers, helping them understand the Word of God and enabling them to live a life of service.
7. Man is unable, by any works which he may invoke, to bring about his own salvation. Salvation is the gift of God, purchased by God in the person of the Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross and available to all who choose to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. To reject Christ is a very serious affront to the Creator and Ruler of the world.
8. Satan is a real entity, a would-be competitor of God. Satan was the instigator of Eve's disobedience and subsequently Adam's original sin in the garden. Satan has continuously been the enemy of man, doing whatever he can to sow error and disbelief to prevent individuals from becoming believers in Christ.
9. Judgement awaits all. Christians will be resurrected at the rapture and, along with those Christians who are still alive, will be taken up by Christ to receive reward for service and spend eternity with Christ. Those who rejected Christ, whether overtly or by default, will be resurrected at a later time to face judgement for their works and final condemnation because of their rebellion and unbelief.
